Georgio's Pizza robber gets 15-year prison sentence
The first time Titus K. Walton met his 3-month-old son in person was the same day he was sentenced to 15 years in prison for the role he played in an armed robbery of a Painesville restaurant. Walton, 23, of Cleveland, pleaded guilty to charges of aggravated robbery with firearm and repeat violent offender specifications and three counts of kidnapping back in November in Lake County Common Pleas Court. Juvenile pleads guilty in Willoughby Hills bank robbery
A juvenile faces up to five years in prison for robbing a Willoughby Hills bank and claiming he had a gun and a bomb. Darriyan Sharp, 17, of East Cleveland, walked into PNC Bank on Chardon Road Nov. 20 and gave the teller a note demanding $20,000. The note also stated that he had a weapon and explosives, Assistant Lake County Prosecutor Stephanie Snevel said. Northeast Ohio heroin traffickers being injected with new legal weapon: manslaughter charges
Desperate for a solution to the heroin epidemic, prosecutors have started holding drug dealers responsible for their clients’ overdose deaths. Michael Zusman, a 25-year-old Mentor man, was sentenced last month to 121/2 years in prison. A jury convicted him of injecting 22-year-old Concord Township resident Danielle Spisak with heroin in May 2013 and then not calling 911 as she lay dying at his home. Zusman was the first dealer in Lake County to be charged with involuntary manslaughter.
